Handmade by Benedictine Monks
Our soaps are hand made at Saint Joseph's Monastery in Natchez, Mississippi, using the cold process for luxurious creamy lather utilizing natural ingredients. They contain saponified oils, including: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Canola Oil, and Shea Butter with a splash of Holy Water in each bar. We scent them with a variety of fragrances (see below). Each bar is a minimum of 4 1/2 ounces.
We are joining in with other Benedictines around the world in becoming more sensitive to the proper use and care of the gifts and resources that God has given to us. Therefore we are no longer using cellophane to wrap our soaps. We find that a simple paper wrap is better for the soap in the long run and allows it to continue to cure and dry after it has left our shop. It is best to store handmade soaps in a cool, dry place.

Lavender
Our Lavender soap has the
wonderful, clean, aroma of lavender flowers. This soap is made with
the addition of Lavender fragrance oil and dried, ground lavender
buds.

Our Plumeria soap reminds one of
the fresh lei's from Hawaii and is a long-time favorite of many.
They are made with the addition of Plumeria fragrance oil.

Citrus-Sage
Our Citrus-Sage soap has the wonderful aroma
of top notes of mandarin, tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, and lemon
rinds, with base notes of fresh sage leaves. It is made with the
addition of Citrus and Sage fragrance oil and dried, ground sage
leaves.

Our Magnolia soap has the scent of the State Flower of
Mississippi, where our monastery is located. It is made with the
addition of Magnolia fragrance oil.

Our Victorian Rose soap has the
aroma of fresh cut roses with base notes of white musk and amber.
This soap is made with the addition of Victorian Rose fragrance oil
and dried, ground rose petals.

made with the addition of Egyptian Musk fragrance oil.

Blackberry-Sage
Our Blackberry-Sage soap has notes of
blackberries, mulberries, and orange zests with middle notes of
nutmeg, rose petals and bottom notes of fresh green sage leaves, red
clover, and a dry down of vanilla. It is made with the addition of
Blackberry Sage fragrance oil and dried, ground sage leaves.

Cool Breeze
This soap is a refreshing, spicy, lavender, ambery fragrance.
It is a masculine scent with a blend of lavender, jasmine, oakmoss,
musk and sandalwood.
